Grasshopper training courses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth

Grasshopper is a graphical algorithm editor tightly integrated with Rhino’s 3-D modeling tools. Unlike RhinoScript, Grasshopper requires no knowledge of programming or scripting, but still allows designers to build form generators from the simple to the awe-inspiring.

Why Train with IDDA?

✓ Grasshopper training conducted in your office
✓ Delivered by Dr. Benjamin Coorey PhD
✓ Utilises Rapid Learning Methodology

About the Grasshopper training course

Bespoke intensive Grasshopper training is available for your staff. They will receive a comprehensive overview of digital design software, equipment and techniques accompanied with targeted practical hands on experience.

To start with, you will learn the essentials of Grasshopper. Students will learn how to extract and use data from existing geometry and construct various types of forms to improve their workflow using parametric design techniques. You will master the Grasshopper interface, learning objects and the anatomy of the component. Then with components, you’ll learn containers, constructors and control mechanisms.

Data is next. We cover single vs multiple data, data matching, sequences and strings. More advanced lessons include measurement, proximity attractor, parameter space and containment.

Finally you’ll master geometry. Including lines, curves, circles, loft, extrude and pipe.
